Could this be the next LaFerrari?

Car image
Here's how the next Ferrari hypercar could look. In ImaginoWorld.

It's called the ‘F80' concept, it's been drawn by a chap named Adriano Raeli, and it's absolutely bonkers.

This flight of fancy - and it is pure fantasy, in no way official nor affiliated with Ferrari - positions itself as a twin-turbo V8 with KERS, positing a whopping 1200bhp, a 0-60mph time of just 2.2 seconds, and top speed of 310mph. Or a nice, round 500km/h. No word on whether it's fuelled by unicorn tears or features an audio system with an actual Jimi Hendrix on board, but hey, we can imagine too.

It has two seats set in a semi-tandem layout. It measures in at 4.7m long, 2.1m wide and 1m high. It weighs 800kg. It takes inspiration from LaFerrari itself, Formula One, Le Mans prototypes, and the NGAD Concept fighter jet. That's a jet from the future.

Handily, Adriano also tells us likely buyers would include people like Nick Mason. We think Nick Mason would appreciate this F80 concept's full polycarbonate windshield, and its exposed wishbones and suspension, and the gaping vents to improve rear airflow, and the F1 radiator side intakes, and the fact that it looks absolutely insane.

Wireless charging for vehicles could come in 2017

Wireless charging for vehicles could come in 2017 - report

Formula E safety car already featuring the technology

The first electric vehicles to feature a wireless charging may be launched as early as 2017.
Citing Qualcomm's VP of business development and marketing for the inductive charging system Halo, Dr. Anthony Thompson, Left Lane News says the first models could arrive on the market within three years. "We're in discussions at some level with all of the major companies developing electric vehicles, and some requests for quotations have already gone out", he comments.
It is said that at first the added cost will likely limit the technology to an upgrade option mainly for luxury models. However, Thompson says the market will be dominated by wireless charging within ten years from now.
Qualcomm has already equipped the BMW i8 Formula E safety car with its Halo system.

Heavily inspired by the Ciel and the Elmiraj

The future flagsip sedan of Cadillac that could be called the LTS will reportedly reach the European market.
The InAutoNews team has contacted representatives from the company who claimed the vehicle will also become available for order in Europe, but will not necessarily wear the LTS moniker. It is believed the car will be rear-wheel drive and will be launched in late 2015.
“We strive to offer all our key models in every market – so, yes, we expect that future offerings would arrive in Europe. The term LTS is a rumored name; not necessarily the actual name this car will have”, told the site a company official.
Little is still known about the flagship sedan but it will likely be influenced by concept cars such as the Ciel and Elmiraj and will ride on a completely new Omega platform. The LTS is said to be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 and an optional V8 engine

Mercedes G-Class getting facelifted in 2016, to be sold until 2027

Mercedes G-Class getting facelifted in 2016, to be sold until 2027
A new report is indicating the boxy Mercedes-Benz G-Class will receive a major facelift in 2016 that will keep the vehicle on market until 2027.
In an extensive report about the SUV’s future, Car Magazine says the version for private individuals will undergo a number of significant changes in 2016 that will leave the model on market until well into the next decade.
First, the width will increase by 100mm to approximately 1860mm, a thing we have already reported before. More importantly, the G-Class will carry over its boxy shape with slab-sided flanks, while the roof will come down a bit. Minor drag-cutting modifications on the front are expected, while adaptive extra-cost LED headlamps and miniature cameras to control the latest generation assistance systems could also be offered.
In terms of engines, the renewed G-Class may lose the optional V12 engine and gain two new 6-cylinder units. Base engines will be a 2.9-liter diesel with 313 bhp (233 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) and a 3.0-liter petrol straight six with 367bhp (274 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft). On the V8 side there will be a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops approximately 460 bhp (343 kW) and the range-topping 5.5-litre V8 G63 AMG with 571 bhp (426 kW) and 800 Nm (590lb-ft).
