The world is going gung-ho over the Football World Cup and so is Audi. The German car major has made a Football scoreboard in USA using 28 Audi A8s. Seems a tad incredible to believe but it looks brilliant when viewed.
The 28 cars are placed in a fixture made up of 45 shipping containers. The scores were displayed by turning on the LED headlamps of the Audi A8s. This fixture is visible even when seen from distances as long as kilometres from its placement at the shoreline near Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The scoreboard is over 40 feet tall and is visible even from the air.
According to Audi’s America Director of Marketing Loren Angelo, “Audi is proud to bring the passion of international soccer to the shores of Manhattan with a fun, eye-catching LED installation. As the US appetite for international soccer grows, Audi will continue to bring fans exciting activations that enhance their soccer experience."
This is an innovative way of capturing the soccer madness. Audi has launched the A8L in India last month at a starting price of Rs 1.12 crore.
