Some Facts on Motorbikes

 So here are our top 10 amazing facts about motorbikes:

1. You can squeeze 8 motorbikes in the same parking space as a car.
2. In the Great Escape it wasn’t Steve McQueen who did that 65 ft motorbike jump. An American stunt man (who also sold Triumphs) called Bud Ekins was the guy that made the jump, and he did it in one take!
3. The Honda Super Cub has been in production for over 50 years. With over 60 million in sales it is the most produced motor vehicle in the world!
4. The first ever bike to hit the 200 mph was the supercharged 499cc NSU back in 1956.
5. The world’s fastest bike the Dodge Tomahawk and can reach 350 mph!
6. Lawrence of Arabia was killed while riding his motorbike in Dorset. A small memorial marks the spot at the side of the road.
7. On average, motorbikes are twice as efficient as cars.
8. 80% of all stolen motorbikes are stolen from the owner’s property.
9. The world’s tallest ever motorbike was built by George Dunham and was 11 feet tall from the ground to the handle bars!
10. The longest motorbike in the world was over 31 feet long! It was built by a Russian named Oleg Rogov.
